Since Dobermans are one of the highly intelligent and obedient students, they are very good candidates for effective Doberman training. If treated with love and care, they learn very fast. Once they are given the basic training and house broken, they behave very well and do not mess inside the house unless there is any specific problem. All of us have our own individuality. In the same manner, the Dobermans have their own individual behavioral characteristics and their natural tendencies should never be curbed. Any wrong conduct should be patiently and lovingly corrected and they respect and understand such correctional methods.

Like humans, the Dobermans also become stressed due to various factors and we should make a sincere and honest effort in realizing the causes of such stresses when we proceed in Doberman training in our home. Both the male and female Dobermans attain the age of puberty when they are between six and eight months old. This is the time when you should extend extra care in relieving their stress, since they might not fully understand what is happening to them. If we are careful in our training during this period, then they would be very good students and ideal guards in our home.

The Doberman training should be started with basic words. Very soon, the dog would be able to follow all types of commands within a short period of time due to its high intelligence. Experienced dog trainers and experts mention that most of the dogs are able to understand up to a minimum 165 words, while higher breeds like Doberman pinchers are able to understand up to 250 words. Studies reveal that with proper training, they could also do simple math, like counting up to 4 or 5 and spot simple additions or subtractions. Hence, it is not very difficult to undertake Doberman training at home, since they are great students.
